Senior Power BI Developer Needed

**Senior BI Developer** **Job Summary** We are seeking a Senior BI Developer to build scalable Power BI semantic models, dashboards, and self-service reporting solutions. This hands-on role partners with business teams to deliver accurate, high-performing analytics, advance AI-assisted BI, and mentor junior developers. **Key Responsibilities** - Build Power BI semantic models using star schemas, composite models, advanced DAX, Power Query/M, and row-level security. - Manage the BI lifecycle, from requirements and modeling through development, testing, deployment, and user acceptance. - Partner with operations, finance, marketing, HR, and other teams to translate business needs into reporting solutions. - Develop AI-assisted reporting using Claude, OpenAI, and Microsoft Fabric. - Optimize query performance, refresh times, and capacity usage in Power BI Premium and Fabric. - Collaborate with Data Engineering on upstream models, data lake layers, and pipelines to reduce redundant transformations. - Apply standards for model and report design, naming, version control, testing, and documentation. - Support governance, including ownership, certification, lineage, sensitivity labels, and lifecycle management. - Train business users, mentor developers, and improve reporting through usage metrics and feedback. **Required Skills and Experience** - 6+ years in BI and report development, including enterprise Power BI solutions. - Advanced Power BI skills: DAX, semantic modeling, Power Query/M, row-level security, and deployment pipelines. - Working knowledge of Microsoft Fabric and Power BI Premium. - Strong dimensional modeling skills, including star schemas, composite models, data warehouses, data lakes, and medallion architecture. - Understanding of Azure services and upstream data engineering pipelines. - Experience integrating AI tools such as Claude or OpenAI into BI workflows and Microsoft Fabric. - Experience with BI standards, governance, certified content, and self-service analytics. - Strong communication, stakeholder management, and prioritization skills.
