Welcome participants and introduce the session. - Introduce the guest speaker and manage transitions. - Ask our prepared questions and talk naturally with the guest. - Monitor Zoom chat and read audience questions without identifying participants. - Keep the session on schedule. - Read a short safety message and close the event using our prepared script. - Follow our privacy, moderation, and recording guidelines.
Excellent spoken English and confident, friendly communication. - Previous experience hosting live virtual events, webinars, podcasts, or online discussions, on camera. - Comfortable with Zoom and live audience interaction. - Reliable internet connection and a professional on-camera presence. - Able to follow a script closely while sounding natural. - Comfortable hosting respectful discussions about emotional wellbeing. SCHEDULE - First Saturday of each month, 1:00 to 2:00 PM Toronto time, starting in early 2027. - You can be based anywhere, as long as this time works for you every month. - Optional: we also need a host for some weekday evening sessions, Toronto time. This is not required for the role. - Before each session, you'll review the materials and join a short practice call. RECORDING AND PUBLICATION The host and guest are recorded. Recordings and short clips may be published on our website, YouTube, and social media indefinitely. You must be comfortable appearing in publicly available videos.
Up to USD $50 per session, fixed price. - The fee covers the live session, preparation, and the practice call. - Recurring work for the right person. WHEN APPLYING, PLEASE PROVIDE 1. A brief description of your virtual hosting experience. 2. A link to a video of you hosting, interviewing, or facilitating a conversation on camera. 3. Can you host on the first Saturday of each month, 1:00 to 2:00 PM Toronto time? What time is that where you are? Could you also host on some weekday evenings, Toronto time (optional)? 4. Tell us about a time a guest or audience member shared something unexpectedly sensitive during a live session, and what you did. If it hasn't happened to you, tell us how you would handle it. 5. Are you comfortable with recordings and clips being published on our website, YouTube, and social media indefinitely? 6. Your proposed fixed rate per session, including preparation and the practice call.
