Full-Stack Developer Needed – React, TypeScript & Node.js (Long-Term)

We're looking for an experienced full-stack developer to help build and improve an AI-powered web platform focused on connecting people with better career opportunities. This is an ongoing project involving both frontend and backend development. We need someone who can work independently, understand an existing codebase, and deliver production-ready features without constant supervision. **Scope of Work** - Build and maintain features using React and TypeScript. - Develop backend APIs and services using Node.js. - Work with PostgreSQL and MongoDB databases. - Integrate APIs, improve application performance, and fix existing issues. - Work with AWS infrastructure and support production deployments. - Write clean, maintainable code with appropriate tests. - Collaborate with our engineering team to plan and deliver features from start to finish. **Required Experience** - 5+ years of professional software development experience preferred; strong mid-level developers are also welcome. - Strong hands-on experience with React, TypeScript, and Node.js. - Solid understanding of backend development, APIs, and database design. - Experience building and maintaining production web applications. - Ability to work independently and solve problems with minimal guidance. - Excellent spoken and written English, with clear communication during team meetings. - Comfortable working in a fast-paced development environment. **Nice to Have** - Experience with AI-powered applications or AI/ML integrations. - Strong backend architecture and system design skills. - Experience working with startups or SaaS products. - Familiarity with AWS, Git, CI/CD, Jira, and Figma. **Project Details** - Project type: Hourly - Duration: Ongoing, with potential for long-term collaboration - Location: United States or Canada only - Time zone: Eastern Time preferred - Working hours: Must be available for at least 5–6 hours of daily overlap with the Eastern Time team - Experience level: Senior **Initial Deliverables** The first phase will involve reviewing our existing application, understanding the architecture, and agreeing on the initial development priorities. You'll then take ownership of an agreed feature or improvement, including implementation, testing, code review, and deployment support.
