I’m developing a specialised automotive control system that relies on pneumatics rather than electrics for its primary motion. The part functions as a pick-and-place unit: it must grasp components on the production line, auto-align them with the aid of sensors and actuators, then sort them into the correct bins before the next station. Acceptance criteria • Simulated cycle time ≤ 2 s per pick under 6 bar supply. • Repeatability within ±0.2 mm after 1 000 cycles in a virtual test. • All parts rated for an automotive plant environment (oil mist, 40 °C max).
