I need a self-contained software component that lets my existing AI/CCTV platform (let’s call it Software A) talk directly to cameras, DVRs and NVRs over ONVIF. Whenever Software A flags an abnormal situation—specifically motion detection or intrusion detection—it must be able to generate an alarm/event and push the corresponding command to the exact device we choose. Typical device-side reactions will include firing the alarm relay, starting a recording, or showing the alert on the NVR’s interface, depending on the model’s ONVIF capabilities. Core expectations • A clean, well-documented API or micro-service I can drop into our codebase and call from C#/Python (or expose as REST if you prefer). • Reliable ONVIF command delivery with clear success/failure responses. • Support for cameras as well as multi-channel NVR/DVR units; selection by IP and logical channel. • Straightforward configuration file or UI panel for mapping Software A alarm types to the desired device actions. • Unit tests or a small demo app proving the module works against at least one real or simulated ONVIF device. Acceptance criteria 1. When I trigger a motion or intrusion event in the demo, the chosen camera/NVR immediately reacts in the configured way. 2. Response codes and logs are written so my platform can store a full audit trail. 3. Source is handed over in a repo with build/run instructions that work on Windows or Linux. Please include links or repos showing past work on ONVIF, CCTV integrations, or similar real-time device control. That portfolio evidence will help me shortlist quickly. I’m ready to get started as soon as I see proof you’ve solved a comparable problem before.
