Python Task Automation Script Needed

I have a handful of repetitive chores on my computer that eat up time every day, and I’d like to replace the manual clicks with a solid Python script. The end goal is simple: hit “run” once and let the script take over the routine work from start to finish. Here’s what I have in mind so far: • A single .py file that is easy to drop onto any Windows or macOS machine with minimal setup (ideally just a requirements.txt). • Clear, well-commented code so I can tweak the behaviour later without digging through spaghetti. • A short README or inline guide that shows the command line arguments, expected folder structure (if any), and common error messages. If you can suggest smarter ways to structure the automation or spot edge cases I may miss, I’m all ears. Bring your favourite standard libraries—or third-party ones if they save time—and please include any assumptions you make so I can test quickly on my side. I value clean logic over fancy UI, and I’ll happily review and accept the work once the script runs error-free on my sample tasks and passes a quick code readability check.
