Junior Full-Stack Developer (Part-Time, Long-Term, Remote) READ FIRST: start your proposal with the name of the last thing you deployed and the date you deployed it. Proposals without it will be deleted unread.
We are a small Australian software studio. You would work directly with the founder. No layers, no ticket queue. The work covers client websites and our own web apps in immigration, logistics, property, disability care and hospitality. You start on internal projects, then move onto client work once you are settled. STACK Next.js, React, TypeScript, Tailwind CSS, Node, Postgres (Drizzle or Prisma), Stripe, SendGrid, deployed on Render. MUST HAVE - Solid HTML and CSS, plus working JavaScript - React fundamentals and some exposure to Next.js - Enough Node to build and consume an API - Git and GitHub: branches, pull requests, clear commits - Clear written English. All communication is written and asynchronous. - Tests: either you write them, or you tell us honestly that you do not and want to learn. Claiming you do when you do not is a separate problem.
Postgres or Neon, Render, Stripe, SendGrid, Webflow, SEO basics. None of these are required. We care that you understand how code works, not which tools you have used. HOW WE WORK We use AI coding tools heavily (Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot) and expect you to use them as well. The point is to move faster, not to ship code you cannot explain. Everything goes through a review and QA pass before it is committed, so you will get real feedback on your work. HOURS Around 20 hours per week to start, with scope to grow. You set your own schedule, but we need 3 to 4 hours of daily overlap with Adelaide. IMPORTANT We hire individuals, not agencies. The person who interviews is the person named in the contract and doing the work. No substitutions. WHAT TO SEND 1. A link to something real you built and deployed, not a tutorial clone 2. The GitHub repository for it 3. Two or three sentences on a real thing you shipped using an AI coding tool, and how you used it PROCESS Intro chat, then a 30 minute live session where we build something small together, then a paid trial task at agreed rate.
