职位介绍

Description I need one physical prototype assembled from a complete, tested design. This is a hands-on build — soldering, basic fabric mounting, and loading provided code — with no design work. Everything you need is written down: a parts list (~$80), a wiring diagram, a belt layout drawing, the two microcontroller programs, and a three-step verification procedure. What you'll build A wearable elastic belt carrying six small 3V coin vibration motors, each glued into a small rigid pod and Velcro-mounted so it can be repositioned. The motors are driven by a BBC micro:bit v2 through a ULN2003 driver chip, powered by a 3×AA pack, housed in a small pouch or box on the belt. A second micro:bit v2 serves as a handheld controller and talks to the belt over the micro:bit's built-in radio. The belt is adjustable with a side-release buckle and slider. Circuit summary: six motor leads to the ULN2003 outputs, six driver inputs to micro:bit pins via an edge-connector breakout, shared ground, separate battery packs for motors and board. That's the whole circuit. What you'll get from me Parts list with quantities and notes Wiring diagram and belt layout drawing Both programs (MakeCode JavaScript — paste and flash) Verification checklist Deliverables The assembled belt unit and handheld, working, with fresh batteries, shipped to me. A short phone video (a minute or two) showing: each of the six motors firing individually from the handheld; the "pair" pattern firing two motors; and the three timed patterns (accelerating, fixed-rate, single) playing on one motor. A photo of the wiring before it goes into the pouch. Your parts receipts, if we go labor-plus-parts.

Requirements

You have soldered motors or sensors onto a wearable or fabric item before — please include a photo of something like that in your proposal. You own or will buy micro:bit v2 boards (not v1 — the belt logs data to flash, which v1 can't do). Clean work: heat-shrink on every joint, leads routed along the belt with a little slack at each pod. US-based, so the rig can get back to me within a week or so. Context, if you're curious It's a test instrument for a student research project on vibration-based guidance for blind runners — participants will wear it in a lab study, which is why the verification video and clean joints matter. Happy to answer questions before you start.
