I need a full-stack, database-driven web application called AttendIQ built with Python, Django, SQLite, HTML/CSS and Bootstrap. The core purpose is to simplify day-to-day attendance taking while giving teachers instant insight into class trends. Key workflow • Teachers start a live camera session in the browser; the system identifies students on the spot and records attendance automatically. • The saved data feeds two teacher-facing dashboards: one that shows at-a-glance attendance summaries (daily, weekly, term) and another section dedicated to notifications and alerts when predefined thresholds are crossed—e.g., a student misses three classes in a row. • Students log in to review their own records and any alerts that concern them. User roles Only Teacher and Student profiles are needed. Teachers manage their own classes and see aggregated reports; students have read-only access to their personal stats. No separate admin console is required—I will handle any super-user tasks directly in Django’s default admin. Tech expectations • Django models to store students, classes, sessions and attendance markings. • Face-recognition or comparable computer-vision module integrated into the live camera feed for accurate matching. • Bootstrap-styled templates for a clean, responsive UI. • SQLite in development with the project structured so I can switch to Postgres later without rewrites. • Clear, commented code with a brief README explaining setup, training of the recognition model and how to add new classes or students. Acceptance criteria 1. Live camera scanning correctly flags present/absent status for at least 90 % of test cases. 2. Dashboards render attendance summaries and trigger alerts based on rules I can edit in the settings file. 3. Role-based permissions ensure teachers can view only their own classes while students see only their personal records. 4. Project runs locally through manage.py runserver and installs via requirements.txt with a single pip command. Once delivered, I’ll conduct a quick functional test against those criteria before signing off.
