Video Editor & Motion Graphics Designer for Financial Education Interviews Budget: €60–€120 per interview (fixed price) Initial project: 2 interviews Potential for ongoing collaboration Project Overview: We are NextGen Finance Academy, a financial education initiative dedicated to making finance, investing, and financial literacy accessible to younger generations. We have recently recorded two interviews with experienced professionals from the financial industry, including Harlan Hodes from Franklin Templeton and Miguel Pohl. We are looking for a creative and reliable video editor who can transform our raw interview footage into professional, visually engaging, and educational YouTube videos. Our target audience consists primarily of teenagers and young adults aged 14–22. Many viewers will have limited financial knowledge, so our goal is to make complex concepts easy to understand without compromising the professionalism of the interviews. We want the final videos to feel like modern educational YouTube content rather than traditional, static corporate interviews. 1. Video Editing and Post-Production: The selected freelancer will be responsible for editing the interview footage into a polished final video. This includes: - Removing unnecessary pauses, awkward silences, technical interruptions, and repeated sentences. - Cutting irrelevant sections while preserving the natural flow of the conversation. - Improving pacing to maintain audience engagement. - Applying basic color correction for a clean, consistent appearance. - Cleaning up background noise and improving dialogue clarity. - Balancing audio levels throughout the interview. - Adding subtle zooms, transitions, and visual changes where appropriate. - Maintaining synchronisation between audio and video. The final result should look professional, natural, and engaging. We do not want excessive transitions, distracting effects, or unnecessarily aggressive editing. 2. Educational Animations and Motion Graphics: This is one of the most important aspects of the project. We want the editor to incorporate simple but engaging animations that help explain financial concepts mentioned during the interviews. For example: Compound Interest If an interviewee discusses compound interest, we would like to see a simple animated chart showing how an initial investment grows over time. Stock Market Investing When discussing shares, the editor could incorporate animated stock charts, company icons, or simple visual representations of buying and selling shares. Risk and Diversification If portfolio diversification is mentioned, an animated portfolio could demonstrate how investments are distributed across different asset classes. Financial Careers When discussing career progression, a simple animated timeline could illustrate the different stages of a career in finance. These are examples only. The actual animations should correspond to the topics discussed in the interviews. Animation Requirements - Approximately 2 simple animated explanations per interview. - Clean 2D animations, charts, diagrams, icons, and text-based motion graphics. - Animations should be understandable to viewers without previous financial knowledge. - Visuals should complement the speaker’s explanation rather than interrupt it. - Template-based animations are acceptable. - Complex 3D animation is not required. - All financial figures and explanations must be accurate and approved before publication. We are particularly interested in editors who can combine interview footage with animated explanations in a seamless and entertaining way. 3. B-Roll and Supporting Visuals: To prevent the videos from becoming visually repetitive, we would like relevant supporting visuals throughout the interviews. These may include: - Financial markets and trading environments. - Business and investment-related imagery. - Relevant charts and graphs. - Company logos where appropriate. - Financial news headlines, when relevant and accurately sourced. - Simple animated text highlighting important statements. All third-party footage, music, and graphics must be appropriately licensed for online publication. We want the videos to feel dynamic without becoming overly flashy. 4. Visual Identity and Branding: The videos should follow NextGen Finance Academy’s visual identity. Our preferred colors are: - Dark navy blue. - White. - Grey. - Subtle complementary colors where necessary. We prefer a modern, minimalistic, and professional aesthetic. The freelancer should incorporate: - A simple branded introduction. - Clean lower-thirds identifying the interviewer and guest. - Consistent typography. - Subtle transitions. - A branded outro. We can provide our logo and relevant branding materials. 5. Social Media Content For each interview, we would also like one short vertical video suitable for: - Instagram Reels. - YT Shorts. - TikTok. Specifications: - Duration: Approximately 30–60 seconds. - Aspect ratio: 9:16. - Clear, readable captions. - Engaging opening hook. - Dynamic but professional editing. - A memorable insight or valuable lesson from the interview. The short should encourage viewers to watch the full interview. 6. Deliverables For each interview, the freelancer should provide: 1. One fully edited, professional interview video. 2. Two simple animated explanations of financial concepts. 3. Basic audio enhancement and color correction. 4. Relevant B-roll and supporting visuals. 5. Branded introduction, lower-thirds, and outro. 6. One vertical social media highlight video. 7. Final exports in MP4 format, 1080p minimum. 8. Up to two reasonable rounds of revisions. We will provide the raw interview footage and branding materials. The exact interview duration and footage requirements will be confirmed before the project begins. 7.
