Finance & Bookkeeping Support – Charity/NGO We are seeking an experienced finance/bookkeeping professional to provide short-term finance support to a UK-based international charity working across multiple projects and donor-funded programmes.
will involve maintaining accurate financial records, processing invoices, staff expenses and payments, coding transactions to the correct accounts, projects and donors, and supporting bank reconciliations and month-end close. The successful freelancer will also help track restricted and unrestricted funds, project expenditure, donor reporting schedules, audit preparation, and complete supporting documentation and audit trails. Key requirements: • 2–3+ years' experience in bookkeeping or accounting • Strong double-entry bookkeeping and reconciliation skills • Experience with invoices, expenses, payments and financial reporting • Strong Excel skills • QuickBooks experience is essential • Sage Intacct experience is highly desirable • Experience with donor-funded projects/grants and restricted funds is an advantage • Charity/NGO accounting experience is desirable • Experience with multi-currency transactions is an advantage • High level of accuracy, confidentiality and attention to detail We are looking for someone who can work independently, maintain strong financial controls and provide reliable, timely finance support to the wider Finance team.
