I’m building an online portal that lets project managers in construction finance keep every client conversation in one place. Think of it as the single pane of glass where funding questions, change-order approvals, and draw-schedule updates can be handled without juggling separate apps or digging through email threads. Core functions I need developed: a real-time chat window tied to each project record and seamless email integration so any message sent from Outlook or Gmail is captured inside the platform, threaded to the right job. Every interaction should be searchable by project, date, or participant, and project managers must be able to tag-in teammates or attach supporting files such as invoices and schedules. Security and traceability matter; audit logs and role-based access will help us meet lender compliance requirements. A clean, responsive interface is essential because many users will be on-site using tablets. Deliverables • Fully functional web application (frontend + backend) with user authentication and role permissions. • Chat module with presence indicators, read receipts, and file sharing. • Email capture and sync that links messages to the correct project automatically. • Admin dashboard for creating projects, assigning managers, and exporting communication logs. • Deployment scripts and documentation so we can host on AWS. Acceptance criteria 1. A project manager can create a project, invite clients, and start a chat in under two minutes. 2. Emails sent externally appear in the project’s timeline within 60 seconds. 3. System passes penetration testing using OWASP Top 10 guidelines. If you’ve integrated real-time messaging (e.g., WebSockets, Firebase) or mail APIs (Microsoft Graph, Gmail) before, that experience will help us move fast.
