Structural Design, Fabrication Drawings & BOQ for Elevated Steel Sheep Shed Project Description I am looking for an experienced Structural Steel Design Engineer to design an elevated steel sheep shed for commercial sheep farming at Kay-One Farms, Telangana, India. Shed Dimensions: 110 ft × 42 ft Orientation: West-facing I will provide a rough structural drawing with dimensions for reference. The designer must develop a safe, practical, durable, and economical structural design with optimized steel consumption. Scope of Work Complete structural analysis covering dead loads, live loads (sheep, feed, workers, and equipment), wind loads, and applicable seismic loads. Design and verification of columns, beams, elevated flooring, roof trusses, purlins, bracing, and connections. Foundation design, including base plates and anchor bolts. Deflection, stability, load-bearing capacity, and wind uplift checks. Provision for rooftop solar panels. Detailed structural, fabrication, connection, and foundation drawings. Complete Bill of Quantities (BOQ), steel cutting list, and estimated total steel weight. Structural Preferences Columns: ISMB sections. Horizontal beams: MS RHS/SHS sections. Roof structure: RHS/SHS members or suitable steel trusses. Roofing: Colour-coated GI sheets. Alternative sections may be proposed if they offer better economy without compromising safety. Required Deliverables Structural calculation report. Detailed fabrication and construction drawings in PDF and editable DWG/DXF formats. Member schedule and steel cutting list. Detailed BOQ in editable Excel format, including steel quantities, roofing, connections, and foundation materials. Design must comply with applicable Indian Standards, including IS 875, IS 800, IS 1893, and IS 456, wherever applicable. Freelancer Requirements Please share your relevant experience, previous structural design samples, software used, estimated completion time, and fixed-price quotation. Preference will be given to engineers experienced in industrial steel structures, elevated platforms, and agricultural or livestock buildings. The final design must be structurally safe, fabrication-ready, economical, and suitable for long-term commercial sheep farming. Note: Civil work for foundation is already completed & pillars are in ready to install position right now.
