University Assignment Assistance – Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) Case Analysis

I am looking for a freelancer with experience or knowledge in Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) to assist with a university-level assignment. The assignment is based on the Social Production Model of Occupational Health and Safety (Baril-Gingras, Montreuil & Fournier, 2013). Assignment The freelancer will be provided with a case study involving a long-distance truck driver. The work consists of: Reading and analyzing the complete case study. Identifying the elements that correspond to the different determinants of the Social Production Model of Occupational Health and Safety. Placing each identified element in the appropriate category of the model. For each element, indicating whether the information is: E – Explicit: directly stated in the case study. D – Deducted/Inferred: inferred from the case study or based on general knowledge. Some categories may remain empty if there is insufficient information in the case study. The trucking industry is highly competitive, and contracts are becoming more difficult to obtain because of the economic slowdown. The company Jérôme works for attempts to differentiate itself through competitive pricing and very short delivery times. Provincial regulations state that drivers cannot work more than 70 hours over seven consecutive days and must then have 36 consecutive hours of rest. Vehicles of the type driven by Jérôme must be equipped with an electronic logging device that generates activity reports documenting working and rest hours. Jérôme has no guaranteed working hours with the company with which he has a contract. He is paid for each trip he completes. He receives new assignments only after completing a trip. Customers evaluate drivers after every delivery through the company’s computer application. Drivers with the highest ratings are given priority when new trips are assigned. Sometimes, assigned trips require more working time than permitted by regulations. However, Jérôme’s supervisor assures him that he will personally take care of the activity report so that it appears compliant. Trip assignments and communications from the company and supervisor are conducted mainly through the company’s computer application. Work-related isolation has affected Jérôme’s mental health. He also experiences significant back pain due to seat vibration and remaining seated for prolonged periods. His physician prescribed antidepressants and medication to control his pain. However, these medications make him drowsy. His physician suggested that he take a leave of absence, but Jérôme does not know whom to contact within the company to discuss this. In the meantime, Jérôme drinks coffee, takes caffeine tablets, and sometimes uses psychostimulant medication prescribed to his daughter to prevent himself from falling asleep while driving. However, he is now having difficulty sleeping and uses cannabis to relax. He hopes that he will not encounter a roadside inspection when crossing borders. Expected Deliverable I need a complete and accurate analysis of the case study, preferably presented in a clear table. For every relevant fact or observation, please: Identify the appropriate determinant/category. Explain briefly why it belongs in that category. Mark it as E (Explicit) or D (Deducted/Inferred). Avoid unsupported assumptions. Ensure that the analysis is consistent with the Baril-Gingras, Montreuil & Fournier (2013) model. The final answer must be provided in French, as the original university assignment is in French.
