Design Playful Personalized Cookbook

I’m putting together a surprise 30th-birthday gift for a close friend: a colourful, playful cookbook filled with recipes each of her friends has written just for her. All the recipes and any photos or doodles will come from me; what I need is your Canva magic to turn that raw content into a bright, fun book she can treasure. There’s no strict structure—part of the charm is that the dishes appear in a completely random order, mirroring the spontaneity of our friend group—so feel free to shuffle breakfast ideas next to desserts or cocktails. The only must-have is an overall look that feels vibrant, light-hearted and celebratory. Think bold palettes, lively typography and whimsical graphics rather than anything rustic or minimalist. Here’s how I see the workflow: • I share the recipes, anecdotes and images through Google Drive (or your preferred method). • You build the layout in Canva, applying the colourful & playful style consistently across cover, section dividers, and individual recipe pages. • We do one round of tweaks for little fixes or extra flourishes. • Final hand-off includes the editable Canva link plus a high-resolution, print-ready PDF I can take straight to the printer.
