Job Overview gTECHserv is seeking a Cybersecurity & IT Security Specialist to help protect client environments from evolving cybersecurity threats. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of endpoint security, network protection, access controls, threat monitoring, and security best practices. Key Responsibilities Monitor client systems for potential security threats and vulnerabilities. Configure and maintain endpoint protection and security tools. Assist with firewall, network, and access-control management. Investigate security alerts and potential cybersecurity incidents. Support vulnerability assessments and security improvements. Assist with Microsoft 365 and cloud security configurations. Help implement multi-factor authentication and secure access policies. Maintain accurate security documentation and technical records. Support cybersecurity awareness and employee security training. Collaborate with the managed IT team to resolve security-related issues. Help clients improve their overall security posture and reduce technology risks. Requirements 2+ years of experience in IT or cybersecurity. Strong understanding of networking, Windows environments, and endpoint security. Knowledge of firewalls, MFA, antivirus/EDR, email security, and access management. Experience troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent written and verbal communication. Ability to work independently and as part of a technical team. Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security+, Network+, Microsoft, or equivalent are a plus.
