After Effects Artwork Swap Template

I have a finished promo video and now need it turned into a clean, reusable After Effects template. The only element that will change from project to project is the featured artwork—no text, no colours, just the image itself—so please build the comp with a single, clearly-labelled placeholder. The replacement artwork must sit in exactly the same size and position as the original, so lock in the transform values and use a pre-comp or a smart layer setup to keep everything perfectly aligned. Once you’re done, I want to be able to: • open the .aep • drop a new artwork file into the placeholder • hit render and export the updated video without touching any other layers. Please keep the project tidy, name layers logically, and avoid third-party plugins so I can pass the file to any editor on the team. If this sounds straightforward to you, let’s get started—I’m ready to hand over the source video right away.
