Coach House Safety Report

I am converting a former coach house into a single-family dwelling. The fabric of the building will remain as it is—no walls removed, no roof alterations, no extensions—so the focus is squarely on an interior redesign. Before works can continue, Building Control has asked me for a full safety compliance report covering all applicable regulations for a change-of-use project. Here is what I need from you: • A thorough inspection (on-site or via detailed drawings and photos, whichever you can work with) of the existing structure, detailing how it meets or can be made to meet current Building Regulations, especially Parts A, B, E, F and K. • Clear recommendations for fire safety measures, means of escape, ventilation, insulation, and any required upgrades to plumbing and electrical layouts that arise from the interior redesign. • A professionally formatted Safety Compliance Report ready to submit to Building Control, with references to the relevant clauses, diagrams (AutoCAD/PDF), and a concise executive summary they can sign off. Acceptance criteria: the report must be accepted by Building Control with no major amendments. If minor clarifications are needed, you’ll update the document promptly.
