Project: Advanced Pension Funds Governance & Strategic Leadership – Part II Aethera Training Consultancy is seeking an experienced pension funds, investment, governance, finance specialist to deliver a bespoke three-day, one-to-one executive training programme for a highly experienced, doctoral-qualified participant who has already completed the foundation programme. The programme focuses on advanced pension finance, institutional investment, pension reform, emerging technology, AI governance, and strategic leadership. It is designed around a demanding fictional pension institution and requires the participant to analyse evidence, challenge assumptions, make investment and governance decisions, and defend recommendations at senior-board level. Duration: 3 days / 18 contact hours Format: One-to-one executive training Location: Canada preferred, particularly Ontario or British Columbia/Vancouver (if based somewhere else travel expenses can be covered Budget: CAD 750 - 1.2k Core Areas Covered * Pension finance, funding, liquidity and investment strategy * Total portfolio approaches and private-market investments * Pension risk-sharing and retirement-income design * Institutional governance and fiduciary decision-making * Enterprise risk, stress testing and liquidity management * Climate, infrastructure and sustainability considerations * AI applications, model risk and responsible technology governance * Strategic leadership, stakeholder negotiation and board-level decision-making * Implementation planning and translating analysis into institutional action Trainer Requirements The ideal trainer should have: * Direct professional experience in pension investment, pension governance, actuarial/pension finance, retirement systems, or institutional asset management * Experience teaching or coaching senior professionals or executives, preferably in a one-to-one or highly specialised setting * Strong understanding of pension funds, institutional investment and governance * Ability to work through quantitative financial and investment cases * Experience with international pension systems or comparative pension policy * Ability to challenge the participant through discussion, case analysis and opposing institutional perspectives The programme specifically requires analytical depth beyond introductory pension presentations or vendor demonstrations. The appointed lead educator may also work alongside specialist contributors in areas such as pension actuarial analysis, pension reform economics and financial AI.
