I already have a basic authentication route in place for Globe Trek, but the core experience—discovering destinations, organising trips and receiving truly personalised recommendations—still needs to be built and wired together into a smooth, responsive web application. Here is the scope as I see it: • Destination information Users must be able to research cities, landmarks and experiences in a single interface. Think rich photos, key facts, maps and up-to-date tips pulled from an external API or a lightweight in-house database. • Trip organisation Inside an authenticated dashboard travellers should create trips, plan day-by-day itineraries and drag, drop or reorder activities with ease. I am focusing on itinerary planning and activity scheduling first; accommodation booking can remain a future extension, so structure the code to allow that module to slot in later. • Personalised travel suggestions Once a traveller starts browsing or saving items, the app should surface relevant suggestions—“you might also like” cards, auto-filled gaps in an itinerary, or quick-add activities—driven by the user’s saved trips and stated preferences. Current code base Only the login / sign-up flow has been confirmed working. Everything else is greenfield, so you are free to recommend the tech stack you feel delivers a fast, maintainable result (React, Vue, Svelte, Next.js, Node, Python, etc.). Just keep the architecture modular and well-documented. Deliverables 1. Source code in a public or private git repo 2. Deployment instructions plus a live staging link 3. Brief walkthrough video or annotated README describing how destination data, itinerary planning and suggestion logic are wired together 4. Test data to demonstrate itinerary creation and personalised suggestions Acceptance criteria • A new user can register, log in and immediately see a clean empty dashboard. • They can search for a destination, add at least three points of interest and drop them onto a daily itinerary. • When two or more destinations/activities are saved, the suggestions engine returns at least one relevant additional item. • All core views render correctly on desktop and mobile. • Codebase passes basic linting/tests and can be deployed in one command.
