Power BI Bug-Fix Mentoring

I recently moved into a Microsoft Fabric Data Engineer role, and most of my day is spent chasing production bugs raised by users. I can already navigate Spark notebooks, lakehouses, pipelines, Git branches, and Azure DevOps, yet I still struggle whenever the issue lives inside Power BI—especially around DAX, semantic models, and report visuals. What I need first is a clear, repeatable way to track a bug from the moment it is reported all the way through to a verified fix. In practical terms, I’m looking for an experienced Microsoft Fabric / Power BI professional who can walk me, step by step, through the investigation process, show me how to isolate DAX or model problems, and validate that the repaired data flows correctly from the source, through the lakehouse, into the report. Deliverables • A documented, step-by-step investigation framework I can reuse for future incidents • Two or three live screen-sharing sessions where we apply the framework on real bugs from my environment (VS Code, Fabric notebooks, Git pull requests, etc.) • A concise checklist I can run before and after deploying any fix to confirm data reconciliation between User Mart and Core Entity, as well as report accuracy in Power BI Service • Brief notes or sample queries/scripts that illustrate common DAX and model pitfalls uncovered during the sessions Acceptance The engagement is complete once I can use the framework independently to diagnose a new bug, document the root cause, deploy the correction via Git, and pass post-deployment validation without additional help.
