High School English Literature Tutor

I need a patient, engaging tutor to guide a high-school learner through English Literature. The focus is close reading, theme and character analysis, essay structure, and exam preparation. Sessions will be online, so please be comfortable using Zoom or a similar video platform and collaborative tools such as Google Docs for real-time annotations. Ideally, you can: • Break down complex passages from novels, plays, and poetry into clear, digestible ideas • Model how to craft strong thesis statements and coherent, evidence-based paragraphs • Provide targeted practice questions and feedback ahead of school tests We will start with a trial lesson to set goals, then move to regular weekly meetings.
