Power Market Advisory practice are looking for an experienced Consultant/Senior Consultant to join the team with a focus on flexibility technologies . Our Power Markets practice

advises generators, investors, developers, regulators and government bodies operating in the GB electricity market. Our advice underpins investment decisions worth billions of pounds in capital each year. As part of the market-leading consultancy in this space, recognised for the credibility and bankability of its insights and analysis, you will have a significant and visible impact on the projects you work on . You will help clients navigate the GB power landscape by providing market analysis, commercial strategy and asset valuation across all power generation technologies, with a particular focus on battery storage, thermal power generation and long duration energy storage .

What you will be doing

You will apply your knowledge of GB wholesale, Balancing Mechanism, reserve and response markets to commercial and market due diligence on flexibility investments . Th ese investments can be in assets, portfolios and businesses with flexibility focus.

You will manage, interpret and build on quantitative models to assess asset revenues, optimisation strategies and investment cases for flexible power assets.

You will contribute to client-facing engagements, working with senior colleagues to shape analysis, structure findings and present recommendations.

Y ou will keep track of regulatory and market developments affecting GB flexibility and storage revenues, and translate these into practical implications for clients .

Your skills and experience Good working knowledge of GB power markets, including wholesale, b B alancing, reserve,

response and capacity markets.

Experience in structur ing presentations , translating technical analysis into a clear, compelling narrative for senior stakeholders in the GB power space.

A good fou ndation in Python

and SQL for data analysis and modelling.

Experience using PLEXOS or similar power market modelling software is desirable.

Strong commercial acumen; previous experience with investment models or valuations is desirable.

Experience with commercial structures for flexible power assets, particularly BESS floors, tolls and offtake contracts, is desirable.

Excellent analytical, written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex findings clearly to clients.
