If two people are talking, reframe or use a split layout rather than cropping someone out. - Clean, normalized audio. Music bed only if it genuinely helps. - No watermarks, no third-party logos, no stock-footage padding. - Along with the file, one line saying which timestamp in the source the clip came from. **Where you have full freedom** You pick the moment. That is the actual job, and it is why we are hiring an editor rather than running a script. Watch enough of the episode to find something worth 40 seconds of a stranger's attention: a strong hook in the first two seconds, a self-contained idea, a surprising or emotional beat, and an ending that lands instead of trailing off. Cuts, zooms, punch-ins, b-roll, text emphasis, keyword highlighting — all welcome if they serve the clip. **How it will be judged** We will watch it cold, on a phone, with no knowledge of the episode.
