About the job

I’m looking for an experienced KiCad/analog electronics designer to recreate a relatively simple 1974 analog “Bouncing Ball Computer” circuit as a modern, fabrication-ready PCB. I have the original published schematic, complete component list, documentation of a known schematic correction, and photos/information from a successfully working prototype built from the corrected design. The goal is a faithful reproduction rather than a redesign, using readily available modern equivalents where obsolete components require substitution. I’d prefer through-hole components and a relatively spacious layout that retains some of the character of the original electronics. Work would include schematic capture in KiCad, verification of component/pin substitutions, PCB layout, ERC/DRC checks, and fabrication-ready Gerber/drill files. I would also like the complete editable KiCad project and BOM delivered at completion. Experience with analog circuits, op-amps, relays, vintage electronics, and KiCad would be preferred. I can provide the original article/schematic and additional project details before work begins.
