About the job

I have a steady stream of parts that need to be taken straight from 2-D engineering drawings into efficient, shop-ready CNC / VMC programs. Most of the work revolves around aluminum, although on occasion I may throw in both thermoplastic and thermoset plastic components. Here’s what each job cycle looks like: • Read the drawing, identify critical GD&T features and tolerances. • Plan the machining sequence, choose the cutters, holders and work-holding. • Calculate feeds, speeds and depths, then generate and optimise the code for Fanuc or Siemens controls. • Return a clean text file of G-code, a matching tool list with offsets, and a short cycle-time estimate. I’ll dry-run and prove out the program in-house; if it hits print spec first time and the cycle time matches your estimate within 5 %, I sign it off and we move to the next part. Turnaround is usually two to three days per drawing, and there’s plenty more work after the first successful batch. If this fits your skill set, I’m ready to start sharing drawings right away.
