A sudden operational hiccup has put our brand under intense scrutiny in both the UAE and Qatar. I must move fast to steer the narrative, demonstrate accountability and, above all, show the public our concrete plans to prevent a repeat of this situation. The assignment centres on crisis communications through print and online media only; broadcast appearances are not part of the current brief. I already have internal talking points, but I need a media-savvy partner who understands the regional press landscape—Arabic and English—and can turn those points into coverage that highlights our future-proofing measures. What has to happen: • Draft a concise crisis press release (Arabic and English) that focuses on the steps we are putting in place to avoid similar issues going forward. • Compile or refine a targeted list of Tier-1 UAE and Qatari newspapers, magazines, and high-traffic news websites, complete with direct journalist contacts. • Develop and execute an outreach schedule (72-hour window for initial push) and secure placement commitments or interview opportunities wherever possible. • Monitor coverage in real time, supplying clippings/links and a short sentiment analysis summary. Acceptance criteria 1. Press release approved internally without more than two revision rounds. 2. Outreach list contains at least 25 print and 30 online outlets, all relevant to our sector. 3. Minimum of five confirmed placements or interviews within one week of release. 4. Monitoring report delivered 24 hours after outreach cycle ends. Preferred tools and skills: Meltwater or similar media-monitoring software, strong journalist relationships in the GCC, bilingual writing proficiency, and the ability to work under tight deadlines. Timing is critical, so responsiveness and proven crisis-PR experience in the region will weigh heavily in the selection.
