Magento-AWS Commerce Maintenance Lead

I run a busy Adobe Commerce store hosted on AWS and need an experienced hand to keep everything running smoothly as we grow. Your day-to-day will revolve around optimising Magento 2, fine-tuning our AWS stack (EC2, RDS, S3, CloudFront, Route 53), and jumping on any bottlenecks before they affect customers. Here’s what you’ll actually do: • Monitor site speed, uptime and resource use, applying Nginx/Apache tweaks, Redis and Elasticsearch/OpenSearch tuning, and code-level fixes when needed. • Harden security with regular patching, WAF rules, SSL renewals and automated backups, ensuring we can roll back fast if anything goes wrong. • Own the deployment pipeline in Git: build, stage, test and push with zero downtime. • Diagnose and resolve issues across Magento core, custom modules, database queries, payment gateways and third-party APIs, liaising with our developers or vendors whenever a deeper code change is required. • Keep DNS, CDN and caching layers aligned so that global customers always hit the fastest edge. Deliverables I expect: 1. A monthly health report covering performance metrics, security posture and cost optimisation suggestions. 2. Documented backup and disaster-recovery routine that has been tested end-to-end. 3. A streamlined deployment script (Git/CI) and written hand-off notes so anyone on the team can trigger releases confidently. If you have 5–10 years of solid Magento 2, PHP, MySQL and Linux experience and can navigate AWS like second nature, let’s talk.
