Fire Alarm Design – Tenant Fit-Out Permit Drawings We are looking for an experienced electrical/fire alarm designer to prepare fire alarm permit drawings for a commercial tenant fit-out. Project: Joseph Haulage – Casablanca Corporate Centre Location: Ontario, Canada Scope of Work 1. Review all provided architectural, electrical, mechanical, sprinkler/fire protection and reference drawings. 2. Review the existing/reference fire alarm design from another floor of the same building and use it as the basis for the new design where applicable. 3. Prepare a complete fire alarm layout for the new 3rd-floor tenant space, including required: * Smoke detectors * CO detectors, where applicable * Manual pull stations * Horn/strobe notification appliances * Other required fire alarm devices based on the layout and applicable requirements 4. Coordinate fire alarm devices with: * New architectural layout * Ceiling/RCP * Sprinkler system * Mechanical systems * Existing building fire alarm system 5. Show connection of new fire alarm devices to the existing building fire alarm system. Existing system information shall be taken from the available reference drawings. 6. Provide/update the required: * Fire alarm floor plan * Fire alarm riser/schematic as applicable * Device legend * General fire alarm notes * Wiring/circuit information * Relevant installation details 7. Drawings shall be suitable for permit submission in Ontario and designed in accordance with applicable Ontario Building Code and CAN/ULC requirements. 8. Where existing information is unavailable, use reasonable engineering/design assumptions and clearly identify them for our review. Deliverables * Complete fire alarm permit drawing package in AutoCAD (DWG) * PDF drawing set * All drawings ready for our engineering review and final sealing Engineering seal is NOT required from the freelancer. All available CAD files, architectural drawings, previous permit drawings and reference fire alarm drawings will be provided. Schedule This is an urgent project. Draft/completed drawings are required by Tuesday morning. Please provide your fixed price, availability, and examples of similar commercial fire alarm drawings completed previously. I’d keep the “seal not required” line—it makes it clear you’re outsourcing the drafting/design work but retaining the engineering review yourself.
