Complete & Launch Existing React Native / Expo Driver App

We are looking for an experienced React Native / Expo developer to take an existing mobile application prototype through to a fully functional, production-ready launch. The application is an internal driver onboarding, training and support platform for a UK transport business. The app has already been substantially designed and built. An existing React Native / Expo codebase and working front-end prototype are available. Example screenshots are attached to demonstrate the current design and functionality. We are NOT looking for the application to be redesigned or rebuilt from scratch. The successful developer will be responsible for taking the existing build and completing the technical/backend functionality required to make it a real working application. Scope of work The project is expected to include: - Review and tidy the existing React Native / Expo codebase - Retain and refine the existing UI/UX and responsive design - Apply/finalise company branding and assets - Set up a secure production backend/database - User registration, login and authentication - Driver activation/account functionality - Connect existing screens and workflows to live backend data - Training modules including video/content delivery - Track training progress and completion - Onboarding progress/status tracking - Basic assessments/tests and completion logic - Driver profile/account functionality - Driver support/query functionality - Notifications/updates functionality - Basic admin functionality for our internal team - Allow administrators to manage users, training/content and relevant statuses - Appropriate document/content storage - Testing, bug fixing and production hardening - Build the final Android application - Assist with Google Play deployment - Configure the required production environment - Provide documentation and handover on completion Supabase or a similar cost-effective backend solution is preferred, although we are open to recommendations from an experienced developer. Existing Build The attached screenshots are examples from the existing prototype. A much more detailed specification and access to the existing codebase will be provided only to the selected/shortlisted developer. The final application should closely follow the existing design rather than being replaced with a generic template. Ownership This is important. All development completed under this project must become the exclusive property of our company. The company must retain full ownership and administrative access to: - Source code - GitHub/repository - Backend - Database - Hosting - Developer accounts - Build/deployment accounts - Application assets - Documentation The developer must not retain ownership or dependency over any part of the finished system.
