Is this your business?AU$ 3.000 – AU$ 5.000 per project
Freelance AI-Enabled UX/UI Designer — Enterprise Software MVP I am looking for an experienced UX/UI designer with strong enterprise software and AI-assisted design experience to assist with the design and documentation of a new business application. The project is currently at the product concept/prototype stage. A significant amount of work has already been undertaken, including screen concepts, dashboards, process flows and functional ideas. The objective is to take these concepts and develop them into a professional, consistent and development-ready UX/UI specification that can subsequently be handed to an AI-assisted full-stack developer using tools such as Claude Code or ChatGPT/Codex.
You will work with me to: * Review existing screen concepts, screenshots, workflows and requirements. * Develop wireframes and high-fidelity UX/UI designs. * Establish a consistent enterprise application design system. * Design dashboards, data-entry screens, tables, forms, workflows and reports. * Consider user roles, permissions and different screen states. * Ensure every screen is practical from both a UX and software-development perspective. * Work collaboratively with AI tools to accelerate design and documentation where appropriate. Development-ready documentation A key requirement is that the output must go beyond attractive screen designs. For each screen, we need to document: * Purpose of the screen * Target users/roles * Navigation and workflow * Every field and data element * Field type and expected behaviour * Required/optional status * Editable/read-only status * Validation rules * Calculations where applicable * Filters and search behaviour * Buttons and interactions * Error, loading and empty states * Permission considerations * Reporting requirements * Data/API considerations where known * Acceptance criteria The intention is to create a screen-level UX/design contract that a developer can use alongside the visual design to build the application without having to guess what each field or interaction is supposed to do. AI-assisted development environment The eventual software will be developed using an AI-assisted development workflow, potentially using Claude Code, ChatGPT/Codex or similar tools. Therefore, experience working with AI-assisted software development is highly desirable. You don’t necessarily need to be a full-stack developer, but you should understand enough about modern web applications, APIs, databases and component-based development to create designs that can realistically be implemented. Reports and data-heavy UX Experience designing enterprise dashboards, management reporting, financial information, property/portfolio systems, ERP-related applications or other data-heavy business applications would be highly valuable. The project will involve presenting substantial amounts of structured business information, so good information architecture and usability are more important than purely visual design. Expected deliverables Depending on the project stage, deliverables may include: 1. UX wireframes 2. High-fidelity screen designs 3. Design system/component library 4. User flows/process flows 5. Screen-by-screen UX briefs 6. Field/component register 7. Report/dashboard specifications 8. Developer handover documentation 9. Figma files and associated design assets Important The application will ultimately be developed through a staged process involving a separate technical developer and system architect. The initial UX engagement is therefore focused on creating a clear, controlled and development-ready product design, rather than immediately building the production application. The successful freelancer should be comfortable working collaboratively, challenging assumptions where appropriate, and translating business requirements into highly usable enterprise software. Ideal candidate You would ideally have: * Strong UX/UI portfolio * Enterprise SaaS/application experience * Figma experience * Dashboard/reporting design experience * Strong information architecture skills * Experience designing complex forms and data-heavy applications * Understanding of APIs, databases and modern web applications * Experience with AI-assisted design/development workflows * Excellent documentation skills * Ability to work iteratively with a business/product owner I am particularly interested in someone who can operate at the intersection of business requirements, UX design and AI-assisted software development. This is intended to be an ongoing relationship rather than simply a one-off graphic design project, with the initial engagement likely to focus on one application/module as a proof of concept before expanding to additional systems.
