TITLE: Independent Review of SAP2000 Structural Analysis Model — Two-Story Masonry House in Haiti I need a qualified structural engineer to independently review an existing SAP2000 structural analysis model prepared for a residential project. PROJECT INFORMATION * Location: Cance, near Antoine-Simon International Airport, Les Cayes, Haiti * Building dimensions: Approximately 24 m × 12 m * Levels: Ground floor plus one upper floor * Structural system: Confined masonry with reinforced-concrete structural elements * Walls: Locally available 150 mm and 200 mm concrete masonry blocks * Environmental conditions: High seismic and hurricane exposure * Main priority: Structural safety and durability before construction cost * No structural steel I-beams are intended CURRENT SCOPE At this stage, only the structural analysis model is available. The structural design and detailed construction drawings will be reviewed separately when they become available. The selected engineer will: * Open and independently review the complete SAP2000 model * Compare the model geometry with the architectural plans * Verify the structural system, assumptions, and load paths * Review the foundations, masonry walls, tie-columns, bond beams, floors, and roof framing represented in the model * Review material and section properties * Review supports and boundary conditions * Review loads, load combinations, mass source, and diaphragm assumptions * Review wind and seismic parameters incorporated into the model * Review stability, torsion, drift, displacement, internal forces, and foundation reactions * Identify modeling errors, missing structural elements, code-compliance concerns, and potentially over- or under-stressed elements * Verify whether the model appropriately represents the proposed confined-masonry construction * Identify information that must be confirmed before proceeding with the structural design DELIVERABLES * A concise written review report * Comments classified as critical, major, or minor * Marked-up screenshots identifying problem areas * Clear recommendations for corrections * A conclusion stating whether the model is suitable to proceed to structural design or requires revision REQUIRED EXPERIENCE * Strong professional experience with SAP2000 * Confined-masonry and reinforced-concrete residential buildings * Seismic-resistant structural design * Hurricane and high-wind structural design * Independent review of structural analysis models * Ability to provide clear and actionable technical comments WHEN APPLYING Please provide: * Your engineering qualifications * Your relevant professional experience * Examples of similar projects * Your experience with confined masonry and SAP2000 * Your proposed approach to reviewing the model * The structural design codes you recommend for this project * Your hourly rate and availability The SAP2000 model, architectural plans, and available material information are ready to share after the contract begins.
