MAE Book — Specialist Image Sourcing, Replacement & Print-Ready PDF Budget: AUD $100–$200 fixed price Turnaround: 3–5 working days — essential Start: Immediately Image licensing costs: Separate, subject to prior approval I am seeking an experienced specialist to resolve the image-resolution issue in an existing professionally designed editorial book. The project includes researching and sourcing close replacement photographs, placing approved images into the manuscript, and delivering a corrected print-ready PDF with verified image resolution. This is a complete image sourcing and book-production task, not a photography, retouching, generic graphic-design or AI image generation project. The MAE aesthetic The book has an established, cohesive visual identity that must be preserved. Its photography is refined, feminine and romantic, with beautiful natural-looking models, soft facial features, sophisticated styling, atmospheric locations, gentle lighting and a considered colour palette. I am not looking for generic luxury stock images. Replacements must match the specific existing photographs as closely as reasonably possible. For example, a brown vintage Mercedes wagon should be matched with a brown vintage wagon of a similar era, composition and atmosphere—not simply another Mercedes. A romantic Paris scene featuring a woman should retain the human element and similar mood, rather than becoming a generic Paris landscape. The same attention must be given to model appearance, pose, expression, clothing, objects, location, framing, lighting, colour, era and emotional atmosphere. Scope of work The book contains approximately 43 image placements requiring review. You will receive the latest PDF, available original image files and the editable layout files where available. The first priority is to determine whether the existing images can be used at sufficient resolution or whether higher-resolution originals can be located. Only images that cannot meet the print requirements need replacing. For each image requiring replacement, you will: 1. Investigate the original photograph and any available higher-resolution version. 2. Search suitable stock libraries, boutique collections, independent photographers and editorial archives. 3. Conduct several careful search passes to find the closest available matches. 4. Present 3–5 strong alternatives per image, where suitable options exist, for my approval. 5. Verify native pixel dimensions, licensing suitability and any purchase costs. 6. Replace the approved images in the existing book layout, preserving the original design, proportions, cropping and placement. 7. Export the corrected print PDF and verify the effective resolution of every image placement. Quality is more important than quantity. If a genuinely close replacement cannot be found, please explain this rather than supplying an unsuitable image simply to complete the list. Image licensing and purchase costs Please prioritise locating higher-resolution versions of the existing photographs and researching suitable cost-effective licensing options. You may search across any appropriate professional stock libraries, boutique image collections, independent photographers, editorial archives or other legitimate sources. Preference will be given to suitable images available through individual purchases, image packs or other cost-effective licensing arrangements. The objective is to minimise total licensing costs while preserving the existing MAE aesthetic. The AUD $100–$200 fixed project fee covers the complete research, image replacement and print-resolution verification work. Stock-image purchases and licensing fees are separate and are not included in this fee. For every proposed image, provide the source, licence type, permitted commercial uses, any print-run or distribution restrictions, native pixel dimensions and total purchase cost. No paid images, subscriptions or additional services may be purchased without my prior written approval. I will approve all final image selections and licensing costs before purchase. All selected images must have licensing suitable for a commercially sold Amazon KDP paperback, hardcover and ebook, including worldwide distribution. Where licensing terms are unclear, please identify the issue and obtain clarification before use. The final handover must include a licensing record and proof of purchase or licence for each approved image. Any third-party file-sharing restrictions must also be respected. Print-production requirements The book is being prepared for Amazon KDP paperback and hardcover publication. * Trim size: 6 × 9 inches * Full-bleed page size: 6.125 × 9.25 inches * Image resolution: At least 300 effective DPI at the final printed placement size Resolution must be verified using the actual embedded pixel dimensions and placement size in the final PDF. Simply changing an image’s DPI metadata is not sufficient. The replacement process must preserve all existing manuscript corrections and must not introduce new problems with text, fonts, page dimensions, bleed, margins, cropping, distortion or missing images. The freelancer must work from a copy of the latest approved layout files and must not overwrite the original files. Final deliverables * An organised image research document showing the existing image, proposed alternatives, source links, native pixel dimensions, licensing information and purchase costs. * Approved high-resolution replacement files, clearly named and organised. * The updated editable manuscript/layout file, where applicable. * The corrected print-ready PDF with approved images replaced. * A final resolution audit listing every image placement and its effective DPI, confirming that all meet the required print standard. * A licensing record and proof of purchase or licence for each approved image. * A clear list of any unresolved images, if applicable. The project is not complete merely when replacement images have been supplied. Comple
