About the job

I’m putting together a small robot that can be driven from a smartphone app so students can see core robotics concepts—actuators, basic kinematics, simple autonomy—in action. The emphasis is on clear demonstration rather than complex research, so I want a clean, reliable build that reacts instantly to on-screen controls. You’ll help me from design through to a working prototype. I’m open on the exact board and language (Arduino-Bluetooth, Raspberry Pi-Wi-Fi, ESP32, etc. all fine) as long as the final unit pairs quickly with an Android or iOS app and lets learners steer, change speed, and trigger at least one additional function (for example, a gripper or light). Because the real goal is teaching principles, I also need the code commented clearly and a short walkthrough that I can reuse in class explaining how sensor data flows, how the control loop works, and why latency matters. Key deliverables • Hardware schematic (including motor driver, power management, phone-link module) • Clean, well-commented firmware and mobile app code or no-code platform project file • Build guide with parts list that a school lab can source easily • Classroom-ready explanation document and demo script • A brief video (screen capture plus live robot) proving remote control works in real time I can prototype alongside you and test quickly, so frequent checkpoints suit me best. If this sounds like your kind of build, let’s bring it to life and get students excited about robotics.
