About the job

I am developing a 3D car parking game in Unity and need an experienced Unity C# developer to build a precise, realistic, and responsive car physics controller. The gameplay focuses strictly on tight, low-speed parking maneuvers rather than high-speed arcade racing, so smooth handling, realistic weight balance, and tight collision response are critical. Key Requirements & Features Physics System: Implement a custom C# vehicle controller using either optimized WheelCollider setups or a raycast-based suspension system to eliminate jitter and glitchy physics. Low-Speed Handling: Ensure accurate steering geometry (Ackermann steering principles), realistic turning radius, and natural wheel auto-centering. Transmission & Gearing: Build a gear controller with smooth transitions between Drive (D), Reverse (R), and Neutral/Park (P). Input Handling: Create a flexible input manager compatible with Unity's new Input System, supporting keyboard controls, gamepads, and mobile UI inputs (virtual steering wheel, UI pedals, and handbrake). Collision Stability: Prevent erratic bouncing, flipping, or clipping when making contact with curbs, barriers, and parking curbs. UI Integration Hooks: Expose clean C# events/delegates to easily bind speedometer, reverse camera toggles, and gear indicator values to standard Unity UI/Canvas. Deliverables Fully commented, modular Unity C# source code following clean architecture. Inspector-friendly exposed variables for torque, brake pressure, suspension spring/damper, and center of mass. A ready-to-test Unity sample scene featuring a configured car prefab, basic parking bay markings, and camera follow script.

Qualifications

Needed Proven portfolio of Unity driving or parking simulation projects. Strong mastery of Unity physics, rigidbodies, and wheel dynamics.
