About the job

I need a vivid, interview-style article that captures the life and personality of a working bartender. I will give you the bartender’s contact details and a brief background; you will conduct the interview remotely (video call, phone, or chat—whatever is convenient for both of you) and shape the conversation into an engaging written piece. The finished article should read like a magazine Q&A feature—sharp dialogue, minimal fluff, and enough descriptive context so readers can picture the bar, the rush of service, and the human stories that unfold across the counter. Aim for 1,200–1,600 words, formatted for web publication, with a short headline, stand-first, and sub-headings that guide the reader through key themes (career beginnings, memorable nights, customer interactions, lessons learned, etc.). Deliverables • Draft interview questions for my approval before the call • Audio or text transcript of the full interview (for reference only) • Polished, proofread final article in a Google Doc or Word file Acceptance Criteria • Reflects the bartender’s authentic voice and anecdotes, quoted accurately • Clear narrative flow—no disjointed question-answer dumping • Free of grammatical errors and ready to publish on our blog If you’ve written personality profiles, food & beverage features, or human-interest interviews before, please share a sample link when you bid.
