About the job

My 12 kW rooftop array is already in place on the garage, tied together into four strings. The inverter and battery cabinets are mounted and waiting; what’s missing is the DC run that will bring the power from the array down through conduit and land it cleanly inside the inverter’s DC inputs. There are no known faults—everything is simply unfinished—so the task is straightforward DC wiring between panels and inverter only. We are in unincorporated Hays County, Texas, so no municipal permit process is required. What I need from you: • Pull and terminate the four PV strings (MC4 to combiner if preferred, or directly to the inverter’s MPPT inputs). • Route wire in code-compliant EMT or PVC from roof to garage interior, with proper labeling, grounding, and over-current protection to meet the latest NEC guidelines. • Perform continuity, polarity, and open-circuit voltage checks before final energization, then commission the system so the inverter recognizes all strings. I have roof access, conduit stubs started, and all major hardware on site; you bring the wire, lugs, and test gear. If you’re comfortable with standard PV practices and Texas electrical code, this should be a quick wrap-up job. Let’s get these panels producing.
