We are building FITBUG, a new fitness technology platform, and are looking for an experienced creative frontend developer / web designer to help us design and build our public-facing website. We already have an early website foundation built with Next.js, React, TypeScript, Tailwind CSS, GSAP and Lenis. We are looking for someone who can take it from a technical foundation to a polished, distinctive website. Design direction We want the site to feel: Minimal. Premium. Energetic. Modern. Interactive. We do not want a typical SaaS website filled with feature cards, dashboards, stock imagery, excessive gradients or generic templates. The site should use strong typography, excellent spacing, subtle depth and high-quality motion/interaction to create its character. Think more along the lines of a creative/Awwwards-quality technology website, while remaining clean, fast and usable. Website structure This will initially be a focused one-page website, roughly consisting of: 1. Navigation 2. Hero 3. The problem / why FITBUG exists 4. The FITBUG connected ecosystem 5. Who FITBUG is for 6. Founder / story 7. Early access / contact 8. Minimal footer We intentionally want to keep the amount of content limited. The quality of the experience is more important than adding many sections. Hero direction The hero is particularly important. Our current concept is to visually communicate a connected fitness ecosystem. Different fitness-related signals/icons can exist throughout an interactive environment—representing areas such as training, health, nutrition, recovery, coaching, wearables, analytics and other parts of fitness. Rather than displaying these as feature cards, they should feel like fragments/signals belonging to a larger system and interact or flow toward a central FITBUG identity/core. The system should feel alive and subtly respond to movement/scroll. Current hero messaging direction: Fitness, connected. One ecosystem connecting how fitness is coached, experienced, measured and managed. Request Early Access We are open to a better creative interpretation of this concept. Motion and interaction Motion should be an important part of the identity of the website, not decoration added afterward. We are interested in techniques such as: * GSAP / ScrollTrigger * Lenis * Three.js / React Three Fiber * WebGL / shaders * particles or flow fields * typography animation * cursor interaction * interesting section transitions * scroll-driven storytelling However, we do not require WebGL/Three.js everywhere. Technology should be used only where it improves the experience. Performance and mobile responsiveness are important. Existing development The project already uses: * Next.js * React * TypeScript * Tailwind CSS * GSAP / ScrollTrigger * Lenis Basic project structure, navigation, background experimentation and page sections already exist. We can provide the existing repository to the selected developer. We would prefer improving and extending the existing project rather than unnecessarily rebuilding everything from scratch. Important We want someone with a strong creative eye as well as frontend engineering ability. We are not looking for someone who simply converts a Figma template into React. There is room for the developer/designer to propose better ideas for the visuals, interactions and storytelling. What to include in your proposal Please send: 1. 2–4 websites or interactive experiences you personally built that are most relevant to this project. 2. Your role on those projects. 3. Your experience with GSAP, Three.js/WebGL, React/Next.js or similar creative-development technologies. 4. A short explanation of how you would approach FITBUG based on the description above. 5. Your estimated timeline for designing and developing a polished one-page website. Please do not send a long generic portfolio list. We would rather see a few highly relevant examples.
