Stainless Vacuum Quick-Connect Design

We are developing a custom vacuum system and need a mechanical engineer to design a simple, durable quick-connect interface for a removable cylindrical stainless-steel accessory. Key constraints: - Accessory must remain single-piece stainless steel - Must be manufacturable by metal 3D printing - Internal diameter must remain unchanged - No plastic parts, seals, inserts or added components on the accessory - No lubrication - Simple, robust design suitable for repeated use - Minimal axial/radial play - Fast and intuitive connection/disconnection Any moving parts, springs, seals or locking mechanisms should be located on the vacuum side. Expected work: - Propose 2–3 concepts - Recommend the best solution - Develop the selected design - Provide CAD files and technical drawings - Consider tolerances, wear, friction and galling Further dimensions and CAD files will be shared under NDA.
