求人について

Project Title: WooCommerce Used Auto Parts Website with Inventory Integration and Custom Shipping We are an established used auto parts business looking for an experienced WooCommerce developer to build a fast, reliable e-commerce website connected to our existing inventory system. We currently operate a WooCommerce store and are open to improving the existing site or building a replacement, depending on the best approach. Our goal is to own and control the finished website, custom integrations, and source code. Inventory Integration We have approximately 170,000–200,000 used auto parts and need automated inventory updates from our yard management system. The integration should: * Import available product information, including part descriptions, prices, photos, stock numbers, donor vehicle details, mileage, VIN, and interchange identifiers where available. * Add new inventory and update existing listings automatically. * Remove or mark sold parts unavailable when reflected in the inventory feed. * Handle nightly updates efficiently, with error reporting and protection against duplicate listings. * Support an initial full inventory import. We will need your help determining the best integration method based on the export, feed, or API access available. Please identify these requirements during discovery rather than assuming a specific connection is available. Parts Search and Shopping Experience * Search by year, make, model, and part type. * Search by stock number, part number, and keyword. * Compatibility/interchange search using properly licensed data, subject to confirming access and usage rights. * Clear product pages with photos, condition notes, donor vehicle information, and shipping options. * A clean, mobile-friendly design and straightforward checkout. Custom Shipping Shipping is a major part of this project. We need an admin interface that lets our staff manage rates without editing code.

Requirements

include: * Shipping zones based on distance from our location, using the customer’s destination ZIP code. * Adjustable distance bands, such as 0–100, 100–200, 200–300, 300–400, 400–500, 500–700, and 700+ miles. * Different rates by part type within each zone. For example, an alternator and an engine would have different shipping rates. * Small-parcel and freight shipping rules. * Freight rules for engines, transmissions, doors, hoods, bumpers, tailgates/liftgates, fenders, rear ends, large fuel tanks, and subframes. * Local pickup. * Business delivery with a dock/forklift and freight-terminal pickup options. * Residential delivery and other applicable surcharges clearly shown before payment. * Special handling for Alaska and Hawaii inquiries. We also need combined-order shipping caps for eligible items that can ship together on one pallet. For example, we may set a maximum shipping charge of $550 for up to five eligible parts in a particular zone. The amount, item limits, exclusions, and zone rules must be adjustable. Final rules will be defined during discovery. Performance and Reliability The site must handle a large inventory while remaining responsive. * Aim for approximately 1–2 seconds to add an item to the cart under agreed testing conditions. * Reliable checkout with clear order confirmation. * Inventory imports that minimize impact on customer shopping. * Appropriate hosting, database optimization, caching, backups, and security. * A staging site for development and testing before changes go live. Please recommend hosting based on the actual workload and explain expected ongoing costs. Google Merchant Center and Existing Operations * Set up an automated Google Merchant Center product feed. * Keep feed pricing, availability, images, and product links consistent with the website. * Preserve important existing URLs and SEO value, with redirects where necessary. * Maintain compatibility with our payment processing and ShipStation workflow. * Plan the transition carefully to minimize downtime and disruption to live orders. Ownership and Handoff We require full ownership of the custom code and project deliverables upon payment. Our business must control hosting, domain, administrative accounts, and code repositories. Please disclose any third-party plugins, licenses, subscriptions, or ongoing fees. Include documentation and a handoff so another qualified developer can maintain the site. What to Include in Your Proposal 1. Relevant WooCommerce projects involving large catalogs and external inventory feeds. 2. Your experience with automotive parts search, interchange data, or similar compatibility systems. 3. Your proposed approach and the information/access you need from us. 4. Whether you recommend improving the existing store or building a replacement, and why. 5. Estimated discovery and development costs, timeline, and milestones. 6. Expected hosting, licensing, and maintenance costs. 7. Testing, launch, and post-launch support included. We are open to starting with a paid discovery phase to confirm inventory access, data licensing, technical requirements, and a detailed implementation plan before committing to the full build. We are looking for a developer who communicates clearly, understands the operational importance of this website, and can build something our business can maintain and grow.
