Electro-Mechanical Product Design Engineer

We are looking for an experienced Freelance Mechanical Design Engineer to support our mechanical design and development activities for electro-mechanical products. Required Qualifications & Skills 1.Experience: Minimum 5+ years of experience in mechanical design and product development. 2.CAD Tools: Proficiency in SolidWorks and AutoCAD. 3.Drawing Analysis: Strong ability to interpret, analyze, and review mechanical engineering drawings. 4.Cost Optimization: Ability to develop cost-effective and practical mechanical design solutions. 5.Sheet Metal Design: Good knowledge of sheet metal design, fabrication processes, material selection, and manufacturing techniques. 6.Electro-Mechanical Design: Ability to develop 3D electro-mechanical assemblies with basic PCB layout and integration knowledge. 7.Fabrication Drawings: Ability to prepare detailed 2D drafting, fabrication, and manufacturing drawings using AutoCAD. 8.Mounting & Fasteners: Good knowledge of screws, fasteners, mounting methods, and mechanical assembly techniques. 9.Aesthetic Product Design: Ability to develop low-cost, compact, and aesthetically appealing mechanical enclosures and product designs while meeting functional requirements. Preferred Candidate Profile Practical experience in mechanical product development and prototyping. Ability to work independently and coordinate with electrical and PCB design teams. Knowledge of Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA). Ability to deliver quality designs within agreed timelines and budgets.
