The goal is to create a self-contained security keypad that combines a capacitive touchscreen with a palm or finger vein scanner. A user must first enter the correct code on the screen and then pass the vein scan; only after both steps does the unit drive a linear actuator to open my case. If either step fails, the case simply remains locked and the user may try again without timeouts, alarms, or lock-outs. I need the full electronic and firmware stack: schematic, PCB layout, BOM, and embedded code that runs the capacitive display, manages code storage, handles vein-template enrolment/verification, and switches the actuator through an H-bridge or dedicated driver. A compact power system with rechargeable battery, onboard charging port (USB-C preferred), and the necessary regulation for the scanner, display and motor must be integrated so the device works untethered. Please base the design on readily available modules—e.g. a 3.5–5" SPI/I²C touchscreen and a proven infrared vein-scanner sensor—to keep development fast. A microcontroller family such as STM32, ESP32 or similar is fine as long as it offers enough RAM for vein templates and a responsive UI. Because I need working hardware as soon as possible, plan for rapid iteration: • Milestone 1 – design review with schematic, PCB draft and chosen parts • Milestone 2 – initial firmware with keypad UI and vein scan integration running on dev boards • Milestone 3 – assembled prototype that reliably actuates the lock and can be shipped for validation Documentation, flashed firmware, and all source files are required so I can reproduce or scale the build later. I will stay available for quick feedback to keep the project moving fast.
