I’m producing the very first episode of a vertical 2D animated story built for TikTok and Instagram Reels (9:16). Visually it sits somewhere between clean anime line-work and lively Western cartoons, but always keeps characters expressive, scenes cinematic, and movements believable. Episode focus We jump in after the main skating accident. The camera follows his uneasy recovery as friendships shift around him and, most importantly for this chapter, he begins to feel unexpectedly drawn to someone within the group. I want viewers to sense tension and uncertainty rather than outright sadness or hope, so pacing, lighting, and music cues should all lean that way.
