Project Summary We are looking for a hands-on developer or hardware engineer to build a clean, plug-and-play proof-of-concept device for an interactive Bingo event tracking system. The unit detects when a physical marker is placed on an input sensor, accepts live Bingo letter/number inputs from an operator touchscreen, and evaluates pattern logic on a secondary display in real time. Key Requirements & Build Constraints Plug-and-Play Assembly (Tool-Less): All modules, satellite displays, and sensors must connect using clean, tool-less quick-disconnect cabling (e.g., panel-mount USB-C, HDMI, or twist-lock connectors). Absolutely no exposed bare wires, loose jumper cables, or screw terminals. Single Main Power Connection: The primary housing must power the entire system through a single panel-mounted USB-C port. Enclosure Flexibility: You may use modified off-the-shelf protective enclosures (e.g., Pelican-style cases, rugged project boxes) or custom housings to create a durable, portable proof of concept. Sensor Integration: Reliable internal sensor placement (RFID/NFC, optical, inductive, or microswitch) beneath a designated surface target zone to detect marker placement. Operator Touchscreen GUI: Integrated operator interface featuring dedicated B, I, N, G, O selector buttons alongside a 2-digit numeric keypad (1–75). Sequence Logic & Display Output: Real-time state machine logic to track consecutive event sequences (e.g., three consecutive "G" calls while the marker is present) and output real-time status updates ("1G", "Success", "Reset") to a secondary display. Technical Flexibility & Qualifications Software Freedom: Full flexibility on your tech stack (Python, C/C++, Rust, JavaScript/Node, Qt, LVGL, Web GUI, etc.)—choose whatever runs smoothly and reliably on the target hardware. Hardware Architecture: Open to Single Board Computers (Raspberry Pi, industrial SBCs) or Microcontrollers (ESP32, STM32) capable of driving dual displays and sensor logic. Prototyping Skills: Experience with clean cable management, panel-mount interface connectors, input debouncing, and sensor calibration.
