The shell will rely on free-spanning metal trusses seated on 12 in × 12 in white-oak columns set every 10 ft, with a clear 14 ft side-wall height. What I need now are complete structural and layout plans that turn this basic concept into a build-ready package. Key details you’ll be working with: • Building footprint: 100' × 100' square • Clear span metal trusses (no interior posts) • Column grid: white-oak 12" × 12" posts, 10' on center • Side-wall height: 14' clear The primary use is year-round cattle housing, so efficient ventilation, durable flooring suggestions, and safe traffic flow for both livestock and equipment are important. I haven’t locked in interior features yet, so I’m open to your recommendations on feed alleys, holding areas, or other cattle-friendly touches that suit this structure.
