Is this your business?US$ 250 – US$ 750 per project
I’m commissioning roughly twenty small-format, soft watercolor paintings to serve as chapter headings for my children’s fantasy adventure book. Each illustration should feel like a classic storybook vignette—gentle washes, loose line work, and a warm, dreamy palette—yet still read clearly when reproduced at the top of a page. Scene coverage Across the set I’d like a balanced mix of: • The three young sailors aboard their little boat • High-energy moments—storms, pirates, near-misses, and other perils • Magical settings such as fantasy islands, friendly (or not-so-friendly) sea creatures, and otherworldly seascapes Character creation The children have not been designed yet, so please develop them from scratch. Think expressive but simple forms that remain recognizable at chapter-heading size; no need for intricate facial detail, but personality should shine through posture, silhouette, and color. Practical notes & deliverables • Twenty individual illustrations, each supplied as high-resolution PNG (transparent or white background) plus layered PSD or Procreate file • Minimum 2000 px on the longest side to allow resizing without loss of quality • Consistent color treatment and line weight across all pieces • Full commercial rights transferred upon final payment Once you’ve read the manuscript synopsis I’ll provide a one-line brief for each chapter so you can sketch thumbnails before moving to final paint. Two rounds of minor tweaks per piece are plenty; the mood should stay spontaneous and fresh. If this sounds like your style, let’s set sail together on the project schedule and start sketching right away.
