About the job

I’ve just published a practical self-help finance book for recent college graduates and I’m ready to turn social media into a steady sales engine. I need a seasoned social media manager who can take full ownership of the process—planning, producing, posting, and engaging—so I can stay focused on interviews and future writing. The primary objective is clear: sell more copies of the book. To do that, you’ll work across Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn, and X, shaping each platform’s content style to match its audience while keeping messaging consistent. I’ll supply the book, key talking points, and brand assets. You’ll translate them into attention-grabbing short-form videos, carousels, reels, threads, and any other native format that makes sense. Community management is just as important: timely replies to comments and DMs, thoughtful engagement in relevant groups, and proactive conversation starters that position me as the friendly finance mentor every new grad needs. Please be comfortable with popular scheduling and analytics tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Buffer, Later, native insights dashboards) and have a strategy mindset so we can test, learn, and optimise week by week. Deliverables • 30-day content calendar with post captions, visuals/video ideas, and publishing schedule • Creation and scheduling of all approved content for the month • Daily monitoring and engagement across the six platforms • Weekly performance report highlighting reach, engagement, click-throughs, and—most importantly—book sales driven from social Acceptance criteria • Content is error-free, on-brand, and tailored to recent grads’ pain points • Response time to follower comments/DMs within 24 hours • Clear linkage in reports between social activity and tracked book purchases If you have a proven track record of boosting product sales through social storytelling and community building, let’s talk about launching this book into as many young professionals’ hands as possible.
