About the job

I have a finished board that currently carries a Micro-USB connector. I now need that footprint, schematic, and routing swapped to a USB Type-C receptacle so the product can handle both power and low-speed USB 2.0 data with the plug inserted in either orientation. The present design’s data path is only USB 2.0 low-speed, so D+ and D- simply need to be bridged to both sets of A/B pins on the USB-C side. What I do need added are the correct CC1/CC2 pull-down resistors so the port negotiates 5 V power in either direction, plus any layout tweaks to keep impedance and clearances clean. No high-speed differential routing or USB-PD controller is required—just solid compliance for reversible 5 V, 1A operation and reliable data transfer at the existing low-speed rate. You will receive the current schematic and PCB file (KiCad). After the modification I will need: • Updated schematic with the new Type-C connector and CC network • Revised PCB layout ready for fabrication • Regenerated Gerber/ODB++ and pick-and-place data • A brief note highlighting any mechanical keep-out changes or BOM updates I’ll review the files in KiCad; if the board can be manufactured and the port enumerates correctly in both orientations on my test jig, the job is done.
