Every day I repeat the exact same sequence of clicks inside a web browser—open a site, sign in, navigate through a couple of pages, download a file, then trigger an upload elsewhere. I want a Python-based solution that takes this chore off my hands by reproducing each step reliably and quickly. Scope of work The script’s first responsibility is to handle those repetitive steps entirely in the browser. Selenium, Playwright, or a similarly robust library is fine as long as it can drive Chrome or Edge in both headed and headless modes. All credentials, URLs, and other variables must live in an external config (JSON, .env, or YAML) so I can adjust them without touching code. Any files created or fetched should be stored in clearly named date-stamped folders, and each run needs to leave behind a simple log so I know what happened and how long it took. Deliverables • Well-commented Python 3 script (.py) • requirements.txt listing exact versions • README that explains setup, config structure, and how to launch manually or via the OS scheduler Acceptance criteria 1. On a fresh Windows 10/11 machine with only Python installed, `pip install -r requirements.txt` completes without error. 2. Running the script reproduces the full click-stream in under two minutes and exits cleanly. 3. No credentials are hard-coded; they are read from the external config. 4. A log file named with the current date appears in the /logs directory after each run. If anything about the click sequence or browser choice needs clarification, let me know before you dive in so we can keep revisions to a minimum.
