About the job

I plan to bring a new line of consumer products into the country and place them directly in the hands of small and medium-sized businesses. To make that happen, I need an experienced independent commercial advisor who can guide every step of the import process and convert the final inventory into confirmed SME orders. The work begins with supplier identification and negotiation abroad—verifying quality, securing favourable pricing, and closing purchase terms. From there, you will coordinate shipping, customs clearance, and national logistics so the goods arrive ready for immediate distribution. Once on the ground, the focus shifts to building a sales pipeline: mapping the most promising SME segments, presenting the products, and driving purchase commitments. Deliverables • Short-list of vetted overseas suppliers with negotiated terms • Complete import plan (Incoterms, landed-cost breakdown, customs requirements) • Calendar and tracking sheet for the shipment’s journey until warehouse arrival • Targeted list of SME prospects and contact strategy • First round of confirmed purchase orders from local SMEs Acceptance criteria The assignment is considered successful when the first container clears customs without delays and at least three SMEs have issued signed purchase orders covering the initial batch. CRM or spreadsheet tools are welcome for pipeline tracking; fluency with trade platforms and a solid network of freight forwarders will be essential. I am ready to move quickly once a clear roadmap is in place.
